Randall L. Attkisson
A founding member of First Southern Bancorp, Randy retired from the active management team in 2008. He is Co-Founder and Partner of Bluegrass Financial Holdings, LLC and affiliates. Randy serves on the board of First Southern insurance affiliate, UTG, Inc., and is Chairman of the Metro Leadership Foundation.
Jesse T. Correll
Jess Correll is a founding member and has served as President and Chairman of First Southern Bancorp since 1987. He is Chairman of the Board and CEO of UTG, Inc., and also serves on the boards of Friends of the Good Samaritans in India, National Christian Foundation and The River Foundation.
Preston is one of the founders of Marksbury Farm Market based in Bryantsville, Kentucky. He also owns and operates St. Asaph Farm in Stanford, Kentucky and focuses on sustainable farming and raising natural meat. He spent a year and a half in India working with the Good Samaritans ministry and now serves on the board of the Friends of the Good Samaritans.
Douglas P. Ditto
An original Board member, Doug has served many years as part of First Southern National Bank’s executive management team and currently serves as Senior Vice President and Central Lending Group Manager. Doug is Vice President and Treasurer of First Southern Bancorp and also serves as Vice President of UTG, Inc. He and his family are members of Indian Hills Christian Church in Danville, Kentucky.
William (Wes) Perry
Wes Perry is the owner of S.E.S. Investments, LTD, managing partner of PBEX, LLC and CEO of EGL Resources, Inc.; all three entities are oil and gas investments/companies. He is also Director of Genie Energy (GNE on the NYSE). Wes has a BS degree in Engineering from the University of Oklahoma. He served as the Mayor of the city of Midland, Texas from 2007 to 2015 and served as a director on the UTG, Inc. board from 2001 to 2013. He is currently a board member of the Abel-Hangar Foundation and President of the Milagros Foundation.
As co-founder and Managing Director of Blessed Earth, Nancy Sleeth travels throughout the U.S. speaking and writing about faith and the environment. Prior to heeding this spiritual and environmental calling, she served as communications director for a Fortune 500 company and as an educator and administrator, most recently at Asbury University. Nancy is a graduate of Georgetown University and holds a masters degree in journalism. She is the author of Almost Amish: One Woman's Quest for a Slower, Simpler, More Sustainable Life. She also authored Go Green, Save Green.
Board member since 2002, Irvin is a partner in The Irvin Group, a real estate and auction company in Lancaster, Kentucky, and a partner in Lincoln Realty, a real estate and auction company in Stanford, Kentucky. He was a long-time customer of the National Bank of Lancaster prior to its conversion to First Southern National Bank in 1986.
Michael has served as Chief Financial Officer at Modern Distributors in Somerset, KY since 2010. He also serves as a member of First Southern's Somerset Business Development Board, and as a board member of Tru-Check, Inc. in Somerset. Michael worked previously in public accounting, earning his CPA license in 2006 while working with Dean Dorton Allen Ford in Lexington, KY. He holds an MBA from the University of Kentucky and BA in Business Management and Accounting from Transylvania University. He is a member of Southside Church of Christ in Somerset.
Tommy has been with First Southern since 1989. He is Vice President of First Southern Bancorp and was named Chief Executive Officer of First Southern National Bank in November 2009. Tommy is an active member of Elk Spring Valley Baptist Church in Monticello, Kentucky and his wife, Renee, is co-founder of the H.E.L.P. Pregnancy Center in Wayne County.
Bill Rouse founded The Rouse Companies, a commercial real estate development company based in Lexington, Kentucky. He currently serves on the boards of the Hope Center, Jubilee Jobs and the Triangle Foundation, in addition to serving on the advisory board of the Kentucky Christian Foundation.
