Online Security

Your online security is a top priority. We have taken a number of measures to protect you and ensure your personal and account information is kept confidential.
Enhanced Login Security identifies you as the true owner of your accounts by recognizing not only your password but your computer as well. If your computer is not recognized – you have logged in from a public computer or one you haven’t used before – you will be asked a self-chosen challenge question as an additional line of defense to prevent unauthorized access. You will also be presented with a welcome phrase and photo of your choice when you log in. If either of these is not present or not accurate, please contact us. Enhanced Login Security protects you no matter what computer you are using – at home, at work or on the go.

Identity thieves are using a high-tech scam that typically involves e-mail spam designed to deceive you into disclosing personal or financial information, such as credit card numbers, bank account information, Social Security numbers, passwords and other sensitive information. This practice is commonly referred to as “phishing” or “carding.”

First Southern National Bank systems have not been compromised as a result of these scams; however, it is important to be aware of these fraudulent e-mails and to protect your personal and financial information

First Southern National Bank customer service professionals will never ask for your Online Banking username or password, your account number, PIN number or Social Security number in an e-mail.

If you receive an e-mail asking for such confidential information, please follow these steps:

  • Do not respond to the e-mail
  • Contact us immediately at 866-602-3762
  • We may ask you to forward a copy of the e-mail. The e-mail may be useful in identifying the culprit and help us to minimize the impact of the message on other customers.
