While we are disappointed that we had to cancel last year due to COVID-19, we are excited to host the 23rd Annual Taste of Jessamine County on Friday, August 6, 2021, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. The event will be held outdoors at Servant Heart Farm, located in Wilmore, KY.
The community is invited to come and enjoy an evening of food, fun and fellowship as you sample dishes prepared by chefs and aspiring foodies from in and around Jessamine County.
Proceeds from this year’s event will benefit The Jessamine County Food Pantry, Simply Serving, and Adventure Serve Ministries. Based in Nicholasville, The Jessamine County Food Pantry provides food assistance to eliminate hunger in our community. Adventure Serve Ministries in Wilmore provides mission trip guidance throughout Kentucky and Tennessee. Simply Serving is an organization that provides deep freezers full of meals to households impacted by cancer.
We hope you will consider a few ways you can make a difference or get involved!
Attend the Event! Tickets are $15 each for adults, $10 each for children ages 6-12, and admission is free for children age 5 and under. Tickets may be purchased from any First Southern National Bank Team Member, First Southern location, by phone at 859-885-1222 or at the door on the day of the event.
Prepare a dish and show off your inner chef! We will closely monitor and follow all CDC Guidelines, but plan recipes for a crowd. In past events, we have welcomed up to 1,000 people to our event. You are not expected to provide attendees with a whole serving, only a sample. We provide the table, a table tent, plates, bowls, drinks, and utensils. Each participant will have a 3-4 foot section to serve their dishes. Since space is limited, each area will only accommodate two volunteers per section.
Sponsor a tabletop! For a $300 donation, you, your family, or your business will be recognized as an official tabletop sponsor. Tabletop sponsorships include a tabletop tent, program, emcee recognition, admission for two, and business card placement. Contact us if you are interested in showcasing your business!
Donate an auction item! Each year we have an impressive collection of silent and live auction items – all donated by local and regional folks just like you. Whether it is a gift certificate, gift basket, or something from a local retail store, we welcome items of any shape, size, and value for donation.
Make a financial donation! The most straightforward way to support is a monetary donation. Regardless of the amount, our local recipients will benefit. We are so thankful to those that assist in this capacity.
